HOB was a 1950s-1990s gospel, soul, and R&B label originally from Detroit, Michigan.
It was founded in 1956 by Mrs. Carmen Murphy, who owned the House of Beauty, the beauty parlor that the label is named after.
Mrs. Murphy sold the HOB catalog and name to Scepter Records in early 1960.
The HOB catalog was purchased by Roadshow Records in March 1978.
